As an amateur, I take photos for more then 20 years now. 5 years ago the "digital age" started for me as well, like it did for many other photographers. Once I started digital I soon found out that it was easy to share my photos through the internet with people from all over the world. In forums you get the best response to improve your own skills and enjoy the compliments you get once in a while. The next logical step then was to build my own website to give the photos a permanent spot on the internet as well. This way I am able to share a little more then just pictures, like for instance some stories behind it. That is where 200asa.nl was born

Well, I'm was born 1967 in Appingedam, Netherlands. For the past 20 years I life in Baarn together with the woman I can't life without, Joke. To make a living (equipment is expensive ;) ) I work in Hilversum where I support a group of mentally disabled people in there daily life.

Beside photography we like to go out in our 4x4 just to have fun or to watch birds. The winter evenings I like to spend watching movies which is so relaxing :) Also the internet, forums, graphics and other stuff on a computer eat a lot of my time. Last but not least we like to spend time with friends and family and have meetings with other photographers.

My goal with this photo-website is to give other people around the world a closer look at things that go on in the Netherlands, stuff in my Dutch life and how my eyes see it. Life is beautiful (not always easy but still beautiful), Nature is Brilliant, People are Interesting, The world has many breathtaking spots ... so enough reasons to capture all that with a camera. to share it with friends and people from around the globe. Also I believe we should share all what we have now with generations to come.
