Lot´s of new photos:It has been a while since I have put new photos online. Sorry about that.  Anyway, as from now there are 28 new photos to see. 4 in the Nature-section, 17 in the Birds-section, 2 in the Animal-section, 3 in the Models-People-section and 2 in the @Work-section. More to come in the next weeks. Meanwhile, enjoy the update!

Products/Other:Since the weather still haven't improved enough to do some photography outside I did some more playing in the little studio I build in the house. it's not big, only suitable for product sofar. Anyway I was drinking coffee ... and there came this idea about a bear coming through some paper wall. Don't ask me what it has to do with the coffee though.

Products/Other:I finally bought me some daylight lamps. Since a few months I had this idea about my shoes. I wanted to shoot all the shoes I have at this moment. not cleaning them first, just as they were. Don't ask me why ... it's just something I had to do. Ofcourse when my shoes where done I had to do my girls' shoes as well :)
To be honest it is a lot of fun to do productshoots. You learn a lot from it, specially about the lightning and true colors and stuff. Great to do when the grey and wet weather won't let me out of the house.

Little Party:Last Saturday we had a little party. A bit of an odd party to be honest. A friend of us had his birthday ... and wanted to celebrate the completion of his new house. He wanted something different and decided to have a Midwinter BBQ. It was freezing outside but still it was great fun. We had lots off fire's, candles and a BBQ .. together with a great atmosphere. The kids though ... thought otherwise. Inside it is warmer  ... which was true ofcourse. They roasted some marshmallows on the fireplace. One picture I want to share and placed it in the People-section. It's the colorcombination I liked in it, together with the focus of the kids on the fireplace. To bad you can't see the fire though :(

Birdshoot:I spend an hour in the garden watching how birds eat and Njoy what was offered. During wintertime the garden is a great place to be. Once you start to put food everywere in the garden you will have a lot of birds around you. Robins, all kinds of tits, nuthatches and so on. Hollands gardens are kewl :) Feed the birds from november till may and you'll see they won't even fly away after a while. Great opportunity to shoot those little birds. Unfortunately the pictures aren't the best, light was not that good, shutterspeeds were only op to 100 and I need at least 300.
Still, I like to share some and have put 4 pics in the birdssection.

Holiday/Urban:During Christmas we spend some days in the Harz, Germany. Sofar in the last 20 years it was always  a white Cristmas there. The day befoer Christmas didn't have snow though, instead we were pleased with a great sunny day. The first Christmasday we had our snow :)

People/Models:A day of Fun. My 11 year young niece stayed at our house for a few days. She is a "wanna-be-model" and I am a photographer ... link made. She liked to have some photo's taken of her while she performed her best model-skills. The result was a lot of fun and a lot of photo's :).
4 of these photo's are posted in my people/models-album which you can find by using the navigation above. Oh, some technical stuff: I used the 70-200 and 2 SB800 flashes.

Nature:Last week we spend some days on the Isle of Texel, Hollands largest island on our north coast. Nature is beautifull there, pretty landscapes, protected nature-parks, lots of nice and rare birds, wide beaches and nice little towns. Great place to relax for a week, for sure we did ( in our Jacuzzi).
I posted 3 pictures in the Nature-section.

Nature:Today I went out with the idea to shoot some birds. Unfortunately there were hardly any birds around in the area. A common thing in this time of year, most birds moved to warmer places and the birds that plan to stay here for the winter still have to arrive. Just some swans, herons and gooses and a single predator were around today. But during my ride I found an interesting look over the field. The fields are covered with thousends of webs, with the sun standing low it gives the idea of looking over green water instead of green fields.

Others:In my archives I still had some photos to show that didn't fit in one of the other categories. Therefore I created the Others-Section. It is a collection of abstract, still-life, cars, contests and others. Please use the navigation above or click here.

Photographers@Work:My harddrive contains a lot of photos from Photographers@Work. Main reason for this are all the meetings I go to and it is fun to shoots photographers. Like myself photographers hardly ever like it to be on the other side of a camera ;)
4 or 5 times a year many photographers from the DutchPhotoZone come together. One big meeting a year (75 to 100 photographers) and "specialized" mini-meetings, for instance a model-shoot, urban-shoot or bird-photography.

Events Photography:This afternoon I finished the last section of this website. Events Photography is now ready.
Events are always a pleasure to shoot photos. It's very interactive, lot's of action, very colorful and they are mostly stuffed with beautiful emotions to capture.

Bird Photography:Finally this section is ready. 26 bird-pictures can be seen now.
"Bird Shooting" is one of my true favorites. Hard to explain but part of the reason is the thrill of capturing the creatures that normally fly away when you get closer. Besides that a bird is a beautiful animal ... who doesn't want to be a bird for one day?

Restyle: Some re-design has been done to the frontpage of 200asa.nl.
What I want to do is put some little news-items on the frontpage, photo-related news that interests me and other 200asa.nl-related stuff.
Also, and maybe that is most important, I want to post on the frontpage all the photo-shoots I do. For instance tomorrow I will go out to shoot some birds .. in the evening you will find one or more pictures on this frontpage. So, every shoot will be posted here first.
